The Westmeath Bachelor Competition

The Westmeath Bachelor Competition returns for its second year on Saturday July 29th at 7.30pm.

The highly anticipated contest will take place once again in Mullingar Arts Centre the weekend before the biggest week of the year in Mullingar, Fleadh Cheoil.

This year 8 of Ireland’s most eligible bachelors will compete for the crown and the legendary title of Westmeath’s most eligible bachelor.

This year the judging panel will consist of returning judges Louis Walsh, Anne Doyle and newcomers, celebrity couple Pippa O’Connor Ormond and Brian Ormond.

Popular well known faces and rising stars Shane Barkey (Midlands 103, Competition Director) and Sarah Jane Foster (2FM, SJF Productions) will return as the hosts with the most!

Following the huge success of last years competition and music festival, this years show promises to be an even bigger spectacle with lots of surprises up the organisers sleeves to ensure The Westmeath Bachelor Competition will be a night to remember.

This is going to be the biggest entertainment event in Mullingar this summer, make sure you don’t miss out!

Following a hugely successful sold out event last year, The Westmeath Bachelor Music Festival returns on September 8th and 9th, the weekend after Electric Picnic! It will take place once again in the heart of town, Blackhall but there’s a twist, for anyone who remembers last years festival the weather was a bit on the ‘wet’ side so the organisers are taking no chances this year, a state of the art heated ‘big top’ tent will be be in operation this year to keep out any chances of any bad weather, the big top can accommodate up to 3000 attendees! “The Good Times Are Here Again” is the official slogan being used to promote the festival. The Westmeath Bachelor Festival features an exciting range of events throughout the weekend with even more to be announced:

Biggest 90’s Disco

Biggest disco is the greatest concert to relive good old days!

Following the success of its phenomenal nationwide tour, entertaining disco fans across the country, The Biggest Disco will be coming to Mullingar on 9th of September 2023.

Over 3000 music fans will fill the Big Top in Blackhall and party to an epic line-up featuring a host of 90’s disco favourites, including 2 Unlimited, Marc McCabe, Rozalla, Capella, Urban Cookie Collective, Dario G and many more yet to be announced!

Eight hours of disco mania – what’s not to love!

The Biggest Disco is famed for its nostalgic disco events bringing the most iconic acts from the 90’s back to the stage in Ireland.

Over 1.5 tonnes of confetti has been launched into the crowds at their events and 500 litres of flame liquid has been used – making these events the hottest tickets of the year anywhere they go! Fans can expect an immersive experience featuring fancy dress, flash mobs, lots of confetti and many more surprises!
